VISUAL ARTIST and ART CRITIC
Ioana Ursu, art critic, teacher of Visual Education in Everyday Life, former inspector of Arts at ISJ Călărași, graduated from the Faculty of History and Theory of Art in Bucharest and the Faculty of Letters at UGAL.
She paints, has exhibited in personal or group exhibitions and illustrated volumes of poetry (”Pierduți în poezie” – Dinu Popescu, Ed. StudIS, Iași, 2024).
Ioana is part of the organizing team of the “Professional Reading Club” organized by the Romanian Writers’ Union, within which book launches, literary circle sessions, discussions and debates were organized.
She is interested in cultural life, contemporary artists and writers, as well as the evolution of this phenomenon in the public space. Ioana has published various articles in cultural and specialized magazines, such as: Luceafărul de dimineață, Neuma, Matca, Timpul, Unora le place arta, Apostrof, Ficțiunea, EgoPhobia, Cuvântul, Viața Românească, Tribuna Învățământului. In 2025, he published his debut volume of poetry „Almost Silence”, published by Neuma Publishing House, Cluj.
